Well I am fucking shattered! Practiced last night till 11 and then me, Davo and Douggie hit the bright lights of Cannock to celebrate the 22nd birthday of Rich “Oaksey” Oades of the Hold Up. My head didn’t touch the pillow till half 3 and I was at work for 9 this morning. Anyway belly aching over!

Public Pool = Boobiaz More
We have decided what song we are gonna record tomorrow. After much deliberation we have decided to record ‘Ain’t Nobody Like Me’ which I am more than happy with, I’m looking forward to seeing what Gavin Monaghan can do with it. It will be available to download pretty soon.
I’m really bolloxed and can’t think of anything remotely interesting to say, other than the fact I can’t stop listening to Bon Iver’s album For Emma, Forever Ago. Try it you might like it.I’m trying to blast some cheer into my ear by listening to some soul music, you can’t beat it.

Or Friend Eddie Living It Up In Australiia - It Really Looks So Much Better Than Home Doesn't It
I’ll let you know how the recording goes. Another thing i forgot to mention, we changed our line up last night and the Chouv were born. There line up;
Tom Moore – Vocals
Joe Davo Davies – Drums
Adam Douggie Dunning – Bass
Joe Taylor – Lead Guitar
Josh Smithyman – Guitar
We recorded the Chouv session and will be posting the video for your amusement very soon. Anyway i’m gonna go and try and get through the day, i drank a can of Relentless and it made my piss fluorescent yellow

Three days on the bounce! Pat on the back for me, a well deserved pat too. Practice didn’t go ahead last night because some shitty heavy metal bands decided to book the studio and play there shitty heavy metal music all night. Not to worry were not in the studio till Saturday so plenty of time to chose what song to record. Who are we kidding??? The situation is ridiculous
but thats the way things happen with The Vouch.
Tonight and tomorrow night will be spent arguing, FACT! We will go into the practice room with every intention of working on the song, but low and behold we will shout at each other.

I Love Lamp!
In other news Douggie realised he hates green tea, I’m trying to tell you everything. Tom Moore needed a shit at The Paddingtons gig last week and proceeded to crash into The Lines van due to distress. I’m doing alright nothing really to report in my life. Here is Tom Moore’s bollocks
.

LOL!
By the way it smells so bad where i am
!!!!!!!
See yah!

Well I’m fucked! Gigs on school nights really fuck me up! But i think the gig went pretty well. We opened up for Nations Waiting and Lowline and drew a half decent audience, like i said were still making our way in Brum but things are looking good. The PA was spot on, the sound was good on stage and the night went well, apart from the set getting cut short cus we were fucking about before the gig.
I realised what a small world we live in last night when an American guy from Pennsylvania came up to me and congratulated me for the bands performance. This bloke was a PHD in material science from Cambridge University and by some stroke of luck found himself visiting a friend in Birmingham and at our gig. Enjoyed meeting him, he was an interesting bloke and fingers crossed he will download our songs and take them to the states with him, wouldn’t mind a US tour.

Back into practice tonight as we are recording with Gavin Monaghan at the Magic Garden Studios on Saturday. I’m gonna be honest, we haven’t got a clue what the fuck we are recording so tonight will be interesting. For your amusement here is a picture of Tom.

Drop the bass bomb Tom
Atour looks on the horizon and then hopefully some festivals over the summer so watch this space. In the mean time listen to A Train And A Tube Away here
Anyway I’m off to real world of work and all that bollocks. Have a good day!

Hello it’s Josh here, i have assumed control of the blog and “intend” to keep it updated from now on. So to fill you in on what’s been going on from our side of the fence. We have recently done a live session at BBC Radio 2 with Janice Long, who is a cracking bird might i add, and a few gigs in sunny Cannock and The Uxbridge in Hednesford.
Last night we were fucking about with the set for the gig at the Flapper & Firkin in Birmingham tonight and to be honest it was a pretty productive night. The set is sounding shit hot and apart from some belly aching courtesy of Tom “Pessimistic” Moore (the bass player) everyone was well on it.
I’m looking forward to the gig tonight, The Lowline sound good, bit U2 esque for me but i can appreciate where there coming from, but I’m looking forward to hearing Nations Waiting. We played with these lads at the Sound Bar in brum not too long back and i was impressed.
Shame we are only opening tonight but we have to make our way in Birmingham and tonights a good start. Fingers crossed December will be a good month and set us up for a great year. Anyway I’m fucking starving and there is a tuna baguette staring at me.
We are all set to smash the gig tonight I’l let you all know how it went after.
